Rafael Nadal has entered retirement after Spain’s elimination at the Davis Cup Finals – but there is still plenty of action for fans to watch on TV.
The schedule for the 2024 team-based tournament in Malaga has been revealed and there was plenty of people in the UK keeping an eye on Spain.
That’s because Nadal was featuring for the country in his last professional event before officially finishing his career. Carlos Alcaraz was hoping to help Nadal clinch a sixth Davis Cup title before hanging up his racket – but it wasn’t to be – after they lost to the Netherlands in the quarter-finals.

Davis Cup schedule and today’s order of play
Germany face Canada in the quarter-finals today (November 20). The two nations face off in a best-of-three series with two singles matches and then a decider in doubles if it is required.
The first singles match will take place around 11am UK time, which will then be followed by a second singles match. The doubles showdown will take place later in the day if the overall score is locked at 1-1.
The winners of the quarter-final showdown will lock horns with the Netherlands in the Davis Cup semi-finals.
How to watch the Davis Cup on TV in the UK
The Finals will be shown live on the BBC in the UK. A live stream will be available on the BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport website.
Some matches may be selected for TV, although an exact schedule has not been confirmed by the broadcaster.
Germany’s tie against Canada will also be shown live on the Tennis Channel, which costs £2.49 a month in the UK after a seven-day free trial.
